What Is Alpha?
The Alpha Course is a 10-week practical introduction to the Christian faith. It provides an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian fiath. It is relaxed, non-threatening, thought-provoking, friendly and fun! Ask anything, Alpha is a great place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.
Who Is Alpha For?
Alpha is for everyone especially:
- Those wanting to find out more about Christianity
- New Christians; Newcomers to the church
- Those who want to brush up on the basics
What Is Invovled?
The Alpha Course is a series of talks looking at topics such as:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did Jesus die?
- How can I be sure of my faith?
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
- Why and how to pray?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- What does the Holy Spirit doe?
- How does God guide us?
- How can I resist evil?
- Does God heal today?
- What about the church?
After each talk, participants are divided into small groups for a time of discussion and further interactions. A meal or some refreshments will be served at each session.
